In this course Brendan will share his strategies for how he first simplifies and then develops his images during the painting process.

The course will help you learn to simplify what you are trying to depict. It will enable you to see simply, reject what’s unnecessary then rebuild your image from there, giving you an understanding which elements are necessary to keep and which are not.

Brendan will show that once artworks are simplified into manageable elements it allows for the development of the picture in many different ways. He will stress that any development and  enhancement of an image must serve the intended emotional tone of the artist’s work.
