TERRY POWERS

Terry Powers is a painter who lives and works in Logan, Utah. He wanders around his home and the outside world, looking at things until they feel right, and then paints them directly from observation. Terry received a BFA in Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 and an MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University in 2013. Powers was a recipient of the Richard Diebenkorn Teaching Fellowship in 2017, and recent exhibitions include Dolby Chadwick (San Francisco, CA); BBQLA (Los Angeles, CA); DORF (Austin,TX); Gallery 16 (San Francisco, CA); and LSU Union Art Gallery (Baton Rouge, LA). He is currently an Assistant Professor in Painting and Drawing at Utah State University.
