Alex Kanevsky recommended materials list

All materials listed here are only suggestions made at a certain time by the artist for workshops and practice. This can change in time and for specific purposes. Feel free to make your own choices regarding paints and brushes and other materials.
Clearly these suggestions are geared towards the oil painters, as is the medium that Alex Kanevsky uses most commonly. If you prefer to use other mediums, you can easily find the equivalents.

Painting supports

The choice is really up to you. you can use smaller boards for quick exercise paintings to solve problems and one of your normal size—to actually paint on.  Primed canvas, stretched or mounted on board or primed heavyweight paper or primed cardboard or plywood. Avoid pre-made canvas-boards.
